Earth Day

Happy Earth Day!

Happy Earth Day! I'm proud to say a wisconsinite made Earth Day possible. Gaylord Nelson, who comes from Clear Lake, thought of this great idea of having a full day to respecting our planet. [in my opinion, every day should be like that. :)] He being governor of Wisconsin made it even better. Most people have read the book "The Lorax" by Doctor Seuss. It gives a great message of making things happen when you don't like something. On Earth Day, I usually plant a tree or go on a garbage pick-up. We took a field trip to the Polk County Recycling Center. Its kind of sad about how much stuff can't be recycled, or have little use in recycling. Like pop bottles. They squeeze the pop bottles into a huge square, and sell it to who knows where. Well, have a good week! Remember to Reuse, Reduce, and Recycle! :)
