Chicago

Look at those dots!

We got back from a 8 hour drive from Chicago last night. What a ride. What a city. On the first day we went to the Art Institute and saw the Roy Lichtenstein exhibit. Which was amazing. If you aren't familiar with Mr. Lichtenstein, I have included a power point which was done by my sister. :) He did mostly pop art. Comic book style, really. He also did abstract. But what was amazing about it was that he made teeny-tiny dots that were equal spaces apart. And heres the thing- he painted all of them by hand. Like, with a paint brush. First of all, how can he make 500 dots all perfectly lined in a perfect manner. Imagine how long that would take! Look at the Magnifying glass, above. How clever and unbelievable. Roy Lichtenstein Please take a look at the link. Ok, so enough about Mr. Lichtenstein. That night, for dinner, we went to a fancy Italian restaurant. It was SO delicious. Everything I ate there was heavenly. [and the bathrooms were nice, too. :)] We had a chocolate cake for dessert. OHHHHH MYY, was that good. I can't even describe it. It melted in your mouth and gave your tummy a super cozy feeling. So, the next day, we went to the Museum of Science and Industry. We went to a Omni movie. Which was cool as always. Except for the fact that it was called Tornado Alley. I seriously almost threw up after that. That night we went to Gino's East Pizzeria. Its a famous deep dish pizza place. It was good. [Really, everywhere we went to eat was good. :)] And Sunday we went home. It was a nice vacation. Have a great week!
